Organizing Entries

How to control sort order and categories.


Sort Order

Entries in the index are sorted by:

  1. position field (if set — lower number = appears first)
  2. date field (newest first)

To pin an entry to the top, open it in the admin panel and set the Position field to 1. To remove pinning, clear the field.


Categories

Categories are the tags used to filter entries in the index. Use existing categories when possible to keep filters organized.

Adding or Removing Categories

In the admin table, click + or × directly on the category tags in any row — no need to open the edit panel.

Renaming Categories Across All Entries

  1. Go to /admin/ and click Manage Labels in the toolbar
  2. Select the Categories tab
  3. Click Rename next to the category you want to change
  4. Type the new name and press Enter
  5. All entries are updated automatically in memory
  6. Click Save Changes to commit

Dates

The date field controls sort order when no position is set. Edit it in the side panel for any entry. Format: YYYY-MM-DD.
